However, the stories are all a bit different than we expect. In fact, instead of being terrifying, they are actually quite humorous. Characters behave in unexpected ways, accidents occur, but all turns out well. laudia's tales are far more funny than scary, and all is resolved into a neat, happy ending (and an exciting, crowd-pleasing dance number!). Show runs approximately 90 minutes.

*Daddy's Dyin', Who's Got The Will? - Dinner Show
November 4 - 6, 11-13; 2011

Directed by: Justin Sanders

Daddy's Dying, Who's Got The Will? is a dinner show directed by Justin Sanders
Performance is presented in conjunction with The Music Ministry of First United Methodist Church of Groves, located at 6501 Washington Street, Groves, TX.

"Set in a small Texas town in anytime, U.S.A., Daddy's Dyin' concerns the reunion of a family gathered to await the imminent death of their patriarch, who has recently suffered a physically as well as mentally disabling stroke. In essence, however, it is not the story of the impending demise of the father or of the drafting of his will, but of a rebirth of the spirit of the family unit. Without becoming ponderous, losing a sense of humor or pandering to timeworn cliches about Texans or Texas drawls, the story shares many elements of a good summer novel: it's a fast, delicious, easy read with funny moments, tense moments, touching moments, and characters you care about."-The Hollywood Reporter

Just in time for the Christmas Holiday. This is a tale that we want to believe in, that creates a world we seem to desperately desire, free of the blatant commercialism that surrounds us, where love and decency and generosity of spirit are their own rewards. What we want Christmas to be all about, really." So writes the Santa Cruz Sentinel of this most heartwarming holiday story. By chance, Kris Kringle, an old man in a retirement home, gets a job working as Santa for Macy's. Kris unleashes waves of good will with Macy's customers and the commercial world of New York City by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child has asked for. Seen as deluded and dangerous by Macy's vocational counselor, who plots to have Kris shanghaied to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital, Kris ends up in a court competency hearing. Especially at stake is one little girl's belief in Santa. In a dramatic decision, the court confirms Kris as the true Santa, allowing Susan and countless other children to experience the joy of childhood fantasy.
